For better or worse, I pride myself on seeing basically every TV show that's been made. But, that doesn't mean a few haven't slipped through the cracks.
I took a gamble this week. While YA fantasy has some of the most creative output of YA as a whole, a lot of it can feel repetitive— like authors are ticking checkboxes to appeal to the masses, which makes tons of YA fantasy feel like it’s the same story with vaguely different settings, names, and overall plots.
At first glance, Killing Eve might seem like a run-of-the-mill crime drama, but with the traditional male roles of lead detective and scary serial killer going to women (Oh and the beguiling Jodie Comer). However, it’s not just a simple role reversal – Killing Eve really embraces its feminism as it unravels the two leading ladies and reveals their various relationships and motivations.
If you even glance at Sheilah’s personal social media, you might notice one thing: that she’s obsessed with the Winter Soldier.
I stumbled across the Adorned By Chi Instagram after scrolling past an ad for their ‘Wakanda Forever’ tees. I loved the retro, graphic feel of the design and how it only encouraged my ever-growing Black Panther hype.
