Star Wars Fashion Round Up
Happy Star Wars Day, Sartorial Geeks!
In honor of May 4th, we’re working hard to make all of your Star Wars-related sartorial geek dreams come true. Here are eight Star Wars-inspired items we’re crushing on pretty hard right now.
1. R2D2 Raincoat
I have a growing obsession with statement raincoats, and this red and blue R2D2 raincoat from Her Universe definitely fits the bill. I recently found my dream (read: obnoxiously yellow, full-on Curious George/whaler) raincoat in Iceland:
But for those of you out there still looking for the perfect rainy-weather gear, this R2D2 gem of a raincoat should be a top contender!
2. Star Wars Skater-Style Skirt
This skirt is checking all my boxes. Handmade? Check. Lightweight cotton fabric made by an indie designer? Check. Fan art-inspired Star Wars characters? Check. Cute as all get-out? Check. Just take my money, already.
3. Galactic Baby Bot Cardigan
Elhoffer Design is killing it at the casual cosplay game, y’all. Prime example? This adorable Galactic Baby Bot cardigan, reminiscent of BB-8. Wear it to work, wear it for a night out on the town, wear it to Solo: A Star Wars Story; the possibilities are endless. Hell, you can even wear it to bed (something that I actually just did accidentally, albeit comfortably with my Elhoffer Design Duel Vintage cardigan).
4. Golden Vader Platform Heels
Have you ever wished for a pair of platform heels with Darth Vader’s face on them? No? Well, you will now. I present to you a pair of platform heels with Darth Vader’s freaking face on them. Thank you, Irregular Choice for gifting the geeky universe with the shoe we didn’t even know we needed. Are they ugly, or are the cute? I can’t decide. But these shoes will definitely add some serious pep to your Imperial March.
(Sidenote: If I hadn’t already purchased my wedding shoes, these glittery C-3PO flats would definitely be on their way to my home posthaste.)
5. Porg Swimsuit
This adorable Porg one-piece has a halter top, and a total vintage, pin-up vibe that I fully support and need in my life.
6. Captain Phasma Bomber Jacket
Here at the Sartorial Geek, we highlight strong female characters and that includes strong female villains. Hate her if you must, but there is no denying that Captain Phasma is a total badass. Showcase your inner villain with this silver, swoon-worthy, shiny AF Captain Phasma bomber jacket. This jacket is giving me all the futuristic retro feels, and I’m 100 percent here for it.
7. Star Wars Tattoo Print Leggings
These Star Wars tattoo print leggings look so cute and comfy, and sometimes that is just what the doctor ordered. Throw a slouchy tee and a structured blazer into the mix and you’ve got yourself a winning outfit, in ten seconds flat.
8. Star Wars Rey Faux Leather Embroidered Vest
Want to look as effortlessly cool as a Jakku scavenger who is in tune with the force? Rock this faux leather vest that gives a casual nod to Rey’s outfit in the The Force Awakens, and her neutral-toned, utilitarian clothing style.
That’s it for our Star Wars roundup. What’s your favorite Star Wars merch? Let us know in the comments section below, and as always, stay nerdy!
May the 4th be with us, every one!
